Seitsemanveljesta.net is an educational website created by Melon Arbus Productions in collaboration with the Museum of Nurmijärvi. It aims to make the Finnish literary classic Seitsemän veljestä more accessible to modern audiences.
My role in the project was to wireframe and design the website, create web graphics and additional decorative illustrations. I also participated in the development of the website as a front-end developer.

A simple, informative and easy-to-use site for Älymuseo, powered by Wordpress. In addition to designing & building a website for the project, I was also responsible for creating the initial visual identity for the project and for designing infographics related to the project.

I was part of the team that build the website for the utility boxes of Käpylä project. The visual identity was created in collaboration with visual artist Kaisa-Maria Laiho and the project lead Terhi Kallonen. The project was part of the Käpylä 100 event that celebrated the 100 year anniversary of the founding of Käpylä, a vibrant neighbourhood in Helsinki, Finland.

A Wordpress site for KOHTAA NUORI project. Rather than a traditional website, the site functions as an academical digital publication. Because of this the project had some unique challenges, that were solved by building a custom theme and tweaking plugins to behave in the desired way. Website was built in collaboration with Valovirta.

Anna lapselle raitis joulu -campaign was designed and created by Valovirta. My role in the project was to adapt the website design into a functioning, multilingual Wordpress site. During the process I had to redesign parts of the original design.

Not yet seen is a remix of Henry David Thoreau’s influental essay On the Duty of Civil Disobedience. Not yet seen was created as a part of the Zineton 2020 challenge. It earned one of the honorary mentions given by the Extinction Rebellion Finland.

Väinö Harha is my second 24-Hour Comics Day -comic, drawn in 2017 and later printed in 2018. The protagonist of the comic, Väinö Harha is an immigrant livign in Estonia while struggling with unexplained fear and paranoia.

Hi, I'm Sebastian! Depending on the day, I'm a graphic designer, a web designer, a front-end developer or an illustrator. Professionally (and personally) I am especially passionate about cognitive accessibility. Above all I love solving problems, collaborating with other skilled people and learning new things. When I'm not working, I'm usually playing tabletop games or cooking.
At the moment I'm living and working in Helsinki, Finland. I'm fluent in Finnish and English, as well as capable of holding a basic conversation in Swedish. I can also ask for a smoke in Estonian.
